About the Role

Do you want to play a key role in enhancing and developing Software solutions that enable veterinarians and veterinary technicians to provide care for pets in over 50,000 veterinary practices while contributing to improvements in pet health? Do you want to be part of a high functioning Scrum team with a strong business partnership and a drive for doing great work?

The IDEXX VetLab Station Team would like to meet you

The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in customer facing software development and a solid understanding of technologies from the database to the presentation tier.

Ideal candidate hybrid with travel to Westbrook Maine campus.

What do you need to succeed:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent7 or more years of software development experience with full stack web application developmentProficiency with multiple languages including Java, JavaScript, etc.

Experience with web technologies including React and TypeScriptFamiliarity with , electron, and JavaFX is nice to haveProficiency designing and building REST APIsProficiency with Spring, HibernateExperience with relational databases, Structured Query Language (SQL databases)Experience reverse engineering existing code and/or transforming business requirements into efficient designs and clean, unit tested codeExperience working on Agile Scrum teamA desire to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment, utilizing agile development methods, test driven development, automated testing, and continuous integrationExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skillsGreat attitude and a desire to learn and have funResults orientation, self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
