Emergency Medicine Physician Requirements
Experience:
Emergency Medicine physician experience in an ED setting
Board Status:
Minimum:
Board Eligible (BE)
Required Certifications:
ATLS
and
BLS
Availability:
Ability to pick up open ED shifts and support ongoing coverage needs
Key Responsibilities (Emergency Department)
Provide timely evaluation, stabilization, and treatment for a broad range of emergency presentations
Manage trauma and urgent medical cases consistent with a Level IV trauma center
Collaborate with on-site clinical teams and utilize telecardiology/telestroke services as needed
Support safe patient disposition decisions, including admission, transfer, and discharge planning
Document care clearly and thoroughly in accordance with facility policies and clinical standards
Participate in dual provider coverage workflows to maintain efficient patient throughput
Provide care for newborn deliveries received in the ED when applicable
