    • Position Summary
      • Plans, organizes, monitors and controls a range of operations and activities, including but not limited to scheduling and registration, insurance verification, authorizations, referrals, point of service collection and financial counseling referrals.
    • Minimum Qualifications

        • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration preferred, or related field, or equivalent experience

    • Physical Demands
      1. Stand and/or walk frequently.
      2. Sit constantly.
      3. Lift and/or carry 30 pounds occasionally.
      4. Push and/or pull 25 pounds occasionally.
      5. Bend, stoop, crawl and squat occasionally.
      6. Reach floor to overhead occasionally.
      7. Visual acuity, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination within normal limits.
    • Essential Functions
      1. Ensures the timely and accurate registering and scheduling of patients within defined department procedures and quality standards. Monitors authorizations are secured at the point of scheduling, in order to facilitate downstream processes related to financial clearance.
      2. Develops processes and monitors to ensure that eligibility and benefit checking is being done in an appropriate and timely manner. Develops and monitors performance metrics for quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Manages and adjusts staffing to meet business demands.
      3. Identifies potential conflicts; analyzing issues; conferring with leaders, physicians and stakeholders on key priorities; engaging others to obtain information or to offer assistance. Meets with practice leadership team on a regular basis to ensure goals and objectives are being met. Ongoing communication to improve process, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
      4. Responsible for working in conjunction with revenue cycle, practice management and training team to evaluate, recommend and develop front business office education and training.
      5. Maintains a high performance work environment characterized by positive relationships and a strong orientation to quality patient experience.
      6. Helps team to meet operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing productivity, guality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
