- Collecting, evaluating, and documenting comprehensive health histories
- Performing thorough physical examinations to assess health conditions spanning from children to the elderly
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions along with stable behavioral/psychological issues
- Carrying out basic in-office procedures as necessary
- Delivering well child care, including immunization screening and ordering
- Initiating consultations with specialists and other healthcare professionals for suitable medical situations
- Requesting appropriate lab tests and/or diagnostic imaging to diagnose medical conditions
- Interpreting lab results and studies to direct illness management
- Devising treatment plans based on presenting illnesses, lab findings, and diagnostic tests
- Documenting patient interactions clearly and logically in the electronic health record system
- Prescribing non-pharmacological and pharmacological therapies within practice scope
- Addressing common gynecological issues
- Providing guidance to appropriate age groups on accessing community services and maintaining good health
- Offering counseling on family planning, including contraception, pregnancy, STDs, and childbirth
- Advising patients on aging and promoting well-being in later years
- Acting as a supervising physician and mentor to Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants as per New York State regulations and organization requirements
- Ability to listen and communicate with clients and staff through various channels
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to sit for extended periods
- OSHA Category I requirements
