At Parachute, we do plasma donation differently.We are seeking a part-time Center Medical/Laboratory Director (MD/DO) to join our team as we introduce our approach to plasma donation to a new market.

Compensation: Starting at $150/hr.

Schedule: Part-time contract position; flexible schedule with 4 hours per week of on-site work.

License/Certification Requirements:

• Current medical license in good standing.
• CLIA certification a plus, but not required. Parachute will cover the cost of the 20-hour CLIA course.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for the overall operation and administration of the Donor Centers medical and laboratory procedures.

• Ensures applicable CLIA regulations are met.

• Serve as the recognized Center Medical / Laboratory Director for all verbal and/or written correspondence to State Department(s) of Health and other regulatory agencies as required.

• Observe and confirm compliance of the Donor Center's medical and laboratory procedures as they affect the safety of the donors and the final product.

• Provide feedback to Center Operations Management and Center Quality Assurance.

• Complete timely reviews of accumulated data to confirm established donor suitability, donor safety and product safety.

• Oversee and assist in the certification, training and performance of the Donor Center medical staff and provide additional training and re-certification, for the Donor Center's medical staff as required.

• Provide guidance for the appropriate and confidential counseling to individuals with unacceptable test results.

• Provide guidance for the appropriate level of care during unusual or severe donor reactions.

• Complete management, training, administration and/or supervision of all approved donor immunization programs, if applicable, according to established protocol.
