Job summary
The OBGYN Physician will provide comprehensive primary and urgent care to an ethnically and socially diverse female patient population in accordance with the values beliefs and policies of Nashville General Hospital.Responsibilities
- Provides primary care services to Clinic patients including: Collect record and maintain patient information such as medical histories reports examination results etc Conducting physical examinations Order interpret results of laboratory x-ray other tests Perform routine office based obstetric gynecological procedures colposcopy endometrial biopsies etc Determine implement appropriate courses of treatment Provide treatment plans prescribe medications for issues diseases female organs Provide care treatment during prenatal postnatal periods Monitor results treatment changing necessary Maintain accurate complete records comply contracts or Nashville General Hospital policies Advise patients community members concerning diet activity hygiene disease prevention May include overseeing training Meharry Ob/Gyn residents request regarding care treatment patients assists mentors them management illness serves resource resolve patient family concerns Monitor ensures compliance clinical evidence-based guidelines adult pediatric healthcare Having ability develop positive rapport patients families foster physician patient relationship Perform related surgical duties required Advise patients concerning diet hygiene methods prevention disease Refer patients medical specialist practitioner specialized treatment
