    Law firm specializing in Toxic Torte Asbestos Litigation is seeking an attorney to join their CA office The firm offers flexibility to work remote, but this person does need to live and be licensed to practice in CA.

    • Research and analyze the law on complex issues; write briefs for submission to a supervising attorney or for direct filing
    • Synthesize legal research and analysis into coherent written memoranda or brief for submission to a client or court
    • Appear in court on behalf of the firm's clients, argue motions and issues
    • Prepare for and attend depositions of plaintiffs, lay witnesses and expert witnesses
    • Investigate factual claims and recommend further investigation as needed
    • Investigate medical allegations and prepare medical defenses
    • Participate in firm meetings on case strategy
    • Negotiate with opposing counsel on issues in contention as well as ultimately potential resolution of cases

    Knowledge and Education

    • Possess a Juris Doctorate (JD) and be a member of the California state bar
    • Knowledge of state and federal civil procedure and state, federal and local rules
    • Experience in asbestos and benzene/toxic tort litigation

    This position requires domestic travel when necessary.
