Description
JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Under the direction of the Director of Respiratory Care, with minimal supervision, the Registered Respiratory Therapist, upon request of the physician, set-up and operates various types of respiratory equipment and deliver physician - prescribed therapy.
KNOWLEDGE/
EXPERIENCE:
Sufficient experience to demonstrate ability to accept responsibility as a RRT.
EDUCATION:
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/
REGISTRY:
Current license with the State of Montana as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred. Maintain current CPR certification.
Aptitudes:
*Demonstrate ability to effectively and creatively solve problems without immediate supervision. *Demonstrated ability to plan and use time wisely. *Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with patients/families who may be under physical and emotional stress. *Gather and exchange information effectively with nursing personnel, physicians, and customers.
