    Job Summary:

    Responsible for providing quality customer support for Clients and Taxpayers through phones, email, and correspondence, daily processing of payments, working delinquent accounts, and providing follow-up for Clients and Supervisors.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Performs collections duties to secure outstanding tax audit liabilities.
    • Follow-up on delinquent accounts and NSF payments with invoicing, collection calls and processing correspondence.
    • Compiles and sorts documents, such as audit discovery/findings documents and checks, substantiating business transactions.
    • Prepares final documents and reports/assessments for signature and review per Uniform procedures and per internal control procedures.
    • Provide excellent customer service through inbound/outbound calls and emails.
    • Prepares files for storage and maintains file log for items sent to client storage facility.
    • Assist in research, resolve and record problems.
    • Build and maintain audit spreadsheets and queries in MS Office applications as needed.
    • Complete tasks by deadline and with little supervision
    • Makes a minimum of 25 collection calls per day.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    • Associate degree in accounting or business-related field preferred
    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Minimum 3 years in an office environment, with heavy inbound/outbound phone experience. Heavy data entry (10-key and typing).
    • Minimum 3 years customer service and / or collections experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to speak effectively with customers and employees.
    • Positive attitude and TEAM spirit.

    Work Environment:

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual workstation, using telephone and computer.

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day.
    • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine.
    • This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office..
