ACE is a community-based organization focused on providing education, workforce development, reentry, and gang intervention programs integrated with counseling, mentoring, case management, and other support services for marginalized individuals and families.

    About ACE:
    Established in 2013, ACE has assisted over 1,200 individuals in overcoming barriers by addressing core issues in low-income communities. The organization believes in empowering individuals by providing tools, role models, and opportunities for transformation.

    Position Details:

    • Title: Therapist I / Therapist II
    • Department: Counseling & Support Services
    • Status: Exempt
    • Reports to: Director of CSS
    • Salary Range: Job Group IV

    Position Highlights:

    • Counseling and Support Services: ACE offers professional counseling services to support prevention, intervention, and workforce development programs.
    • The Therapists play a key role in ensuring the quality of counseling and psychotherapy services provided at ACE.
    • Hours: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

    Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Required:

    • Entry-level knowledge of position roles and duties
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and with minimal supervision
    • Proficiency in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Cultural competence and humility in community relations
    • Understanding of human development and change theory
    • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Conduct participant assessments and develop service plans
    • Organize and deliver skills-based workshops
    • Maintain patient progress records
    • Collaborate with participants on treatment plans
    • Provide mental health crisis intervention
    • Ensure compliance with ethical standards
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy
    • Registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
    • Valid California Driver's License and clean DMV record
    • Fluency in Spanish and English
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist preferred
