- Develop s , evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
- Plans manufacturing and assembly processes by analyzing designs to determine the best manufacturing methods.
- Documents manufacturing processes. Creates and manages manufacturing work instructions.
- Creates and Modifies product CAD documentation (parts, assemblies, drawings) as needed.
- Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Analyzes and plans workspace requirements and workflow, designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Determines, specifies, and justifies capital equipment needs.
- Confers with suppliers to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Designs and performs product testing and analysis as needed.
- Performs quality assurance functions as needed to ensure high levels of quality in manufacturing. WHAT WE SEEK
- 8 + years of related working experience
- Lean Experience including the practical implementation and application w/ Black Belt Certification preferred.
- CAD platforms (SolidWorks)
- Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze data to drive improvements in throughput, cost and quality of various manufacturing process using prove n methodologies .
- Experience with rotational molding preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), E-mail
- ERP experience (Oracle, Epicor preferred) EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
