Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a lower acuity intensive care unit with patient ratios of 1:2-3 based on acuity

• Care for general ICU patients including stroke (TNK), medical, surgical, behavioral health, overdoses, and post cardiac arrest patients

• 2-3 years of experience required, first-time travelers considered upon review

• Must be comfortable floating to the cardiac unit

• Weekend rotation every other weekend (default scheduling)

• Holiday coverage varies based on unit needs

• On-call responsibilities vary based on unit needs

• Time off approval available up to 7 days (default)

• One shift orientation to learn unit flow

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

• Skills required: read/interpret strips, ventilators, chest tubes, tracheostomies, line management, proning experience

• Responsible for bedside and nursing station telemetry monitoring (no telemetry technician in ICU)

• Work with EPIC charting system, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing

• Professional scrubs of any color required

• Free parking available for employees in designated areas

Facility:

This 101-bed healthcare facility serves as a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, providing comprehensive medical services to the community. The 11-bed ICU operates with 24/7 support including hospitalist coverage, respiratory therapy, and eICU monitoring from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM with intensivist coverage during daytime hours. The facility offers extensive support services including CNA assistance, phlebotomy for peripheral blood draws, IV/VAT team coverage during weekday day shifts, and occupational, physical, and speech therapy services on weekdays.
