    The Product Manager will be responsible for establishing and driving product strategies and programs consistent with overall business objectives for the Equine and Special Markets medications. Additionally, this role will deliver new products and ensure the existing formulary meets customer needs.

    What you'll do:
    • Create strategies, positioning, business objectives, tactics, P&L projections and short- and long-term growth strategies for the assigned medications in the formulary.
    • Manage the life cycle of products from introduction to retirement.
    • Work collaboratively with Equine and Special Markets Business Leaders to create product plans that support the Equine and Special Markets strategic and financial goals.
    • Evaluate market trends and identify market penetration opportunities.
    • Analyze the competition to identify strategies for differentiation and positioning.
    • Work with planning, operations, finance, procurement and marketing on out-of-stock impact management and inventory write off management.
    • Collaborate, in association with Product Development Process Project Manager and cross-functional teams to add innovative new products, services and packaging to the merchandise mix that have value to our customers and the customer experience.
    • Review margin data: analyze performance data to understand how our medications are performing and why, assess challenges to margins and work with appropriate personnel to maximize efficiencies without sacrificing quality.
    • Provide sales, marketing, and customer care key medication features for each new introduction.
    • Contribute creative strategies to ensure consistent positioning and branding throughout product lines, promotional materials, and marketing/sales events.
    • Collaborate with sales and direct marketing teams to design, evaluate and validate product marketing strategies and programs that achieve sales goals.
    • Serve as team leader to make sure that the product management strategies are executed in a timely and efficient manner to meet the sales and profit objectives.
    • Contribute to marketing budget for product management requirements, product development and staffing.
    • Provide forecasts based on new launches, sales trends, product availability, supply issues and marketing campaigns.
    • Act as a product champion outside of the company; establish and nurture relationships with KOLs, liaison with industry contacts for evaluation of new product opportunities.
    • Maintain industry knowledge through literature review, tradeshow attendance and regular sales feedback.
    • Determine strategic product line decisions such as priority of product or line enhancements which optimize organizational goals and objectives.
    Who you are:
    • Critical Thinker with strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
    • Possess strong communication and presentation skills, both in group and one-on-one interaction, and to a varied audience
    • Have a background managing a large portfolio of products with product launch experience
    • Possess strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
    • Possess strong computer skills and exceptional Excel spreadsheet skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP
    • Have track record of consistently delivering results across multiple projects
    • Ability to travel (approximately 5% domestic)
    What you've done:
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze a product marketing challenge and determine appropriate programs and initiatives in response
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional project teams
    • Obtained a Bachelor's Degree
    • Have 6-8 years' experience in product management and marketing
