    Job Description Job Description Marketing AssociateGeneral Summary of Position: This position is responsible to provide exceptional customer service and allow our Ag Risk-Marketing Consultant(s) to maximize and efficiently utilize their talents to the overall best interest of their clients and of Hurley & Associates.

    This position helps with basic marketing tasks, assessment of client financials and data entry, and other tasks as assigned. This position also provides customer service with clients on a regular basis. Effective communication skills, attention to detail, professional image, integrity and confidentiality are required.

    Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Ongoing TasksAdministrationExcellent interpersonal and people skills to work in team environment, to include a strong and friendly presence.

    Detail oriented and able to work accurately with numbers. Ability to research and organize information.
    MarketingKnowledge of Marketing tools to manage risk, such as futures and options. Agricultural experience preferred. Knowledge of agricultural operations, and financial risk tolerance. Ability to interpret farm financials into Hurley cash flow requirements. Knowledge of business marketing activities to promote Hurley & Associates.
    Client DocumentationPrepare reports and/or information in preparation for client meetings. Document updates to brokerage accounts, as necessary. Update and maintain client information in files and software. Relay daily fill information to clients utilizing email. Decipher client provided information and enter farm financials into Hurley software. Track and maintain grain inventory for clients. Update end of year tax projections to clients, if necessary.
    Percentages of Work responsibilities40% Marketing, 30% Administration, 30% Client DocumentationEducation and Experience RequirementsHigh School Degree required. A 2- or 4-year bachelors degree is preferred . One-year or more of related experience preferred.
    Licensing or Certification RequirementsSeries 3 license for grain brokers required after hire .

    The selected candidate will be required to sign a standard Associated Persons Agreement and a non-compete agreement upon acceptance of the position and are standard documents in our industry.

    Confidentiality RequirementHas access to confidential information and therefore, required to sign a Confidentiality AgreementScope of Responsibility and Decision MakingAll delegated tasks within job description.

    Compliance within Hurley & Associates policies and controls.
    Physical RequirementsMay be required to work more than 40 hours per week upon request.
