- Navigating patients to appropriate level of care and provider support
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress
- Educating patients for discharge
- Supporting the Spine Center Case Conference
- Participating in Quality Improvement Initiatives
- Certificate of registration from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration of Nurse Practitioners
- CPR (BLS/ACLS) certification required
- 3 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider preferred
- 1 year of experience in related ortho/spine patient care preferred

We are seeking a full time, 40-hour Nurse Practitioner to join the Spine service line at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
The team is looking for added mid-level support five days per week (Monday-Friday) with flexibility on how the hours are staggered.
The NP will spend 2 days per week at the Ortho Walk-In Clinic located at 978 Worcester Street, Rte 9 East, Wellesley, MA 02482 and 3 days per week at the Spine Clinic located at 159 Wells Avenue, Newton, MA 02459.
Under the clinical supervision of the Chief of the service line, the Nurse Practitioner will oversee and participate in the care of patients with both acute and chronic back pain primarily in the outpatient setting, with additional involvement in the inpatient setting to facilitate continuity of care.
The NP will maintain an independent panel while working in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team including Physiatry, Surgery, Behavioral Medicine, other mid-levels, and support staff.
