- Provide formal and informal teaching of patients and family
- Understand and implement a plan of care and recognize the need for intervention by the Physical Therapist
- Communicate effectively both written and verbally with other healthcare personnel, the patient, family, and community members
- Assist patients in practicing skills in mobility and exercise
- Graduate of an accredited two-year physical therapy assistant program
