St. Mary's Medical Center is currently seeking a Full time MLP (PA or NP) for Scott Orthopedic.

This positionpromotes excellence in patient care by advancing the quality, efficient, and cost-effective care, and scope of medical practice through clinical practice, education, consultation, research, and administrative roles in Orthopedic programs.

Assists supervising surgeon in the management of patients and performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of the surgeon.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program. Current licensure in the State of West Virginia and certifications in appropriate field preferred.

ACLS BLS certifications

Prescriptive Privileges:
Comply with West Virginia Code related to attaining and maintaining limited prescriptive.


EXPERIENCE:

Orthopedic experience preferred, but not required.

Experience with inpatient care, and operating room preferable.


SKILLS:

Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, staff, and other health care providers. Ability to use equipment needed for a thorough physical examination.
