- Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student athletes in the sport assigned.
- Manage and supervise sport activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
- Work with the members of the club to plan and put in place instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall development of student athletes
- Establish performance criteria for competition and evaluate students' athletic abilities initially and on a regular basis.
- Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Communication with constituents, parents/alumni, team doctor, Sport Programs department, and vendors to ensure team is well supported
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Sport Programs Coordinator
- Complete club sport trainings or University trainings when required
- Requires rules knowledge and regulations of league and requirements
- Previous experience as a player or coach
- Attend practices and games from late August - April
