SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for processing daily distribution tasks specific to loading, unloading, moving/transferring, and transacting materials to support in-plant logistics. Individuals must be attentive to detail and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position also requires the person to be able to accurately complete transactions and fulfill requests in a timely manner for the receipt, delivery, and shipment of all goods. These functions include operating in a cGMP environment and adhering to strong inventory management practices. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies
Performs physical counts of inventory
Transports materials between departments, facilities, and/or production floor
Transacts inventory/material movements in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with strong inventory control practices
Selects and transacts materials for work orders
Assures the accurate counting, staging and storage of materials and supplies
Operates warehouse vehicles such sit down, stand up and side-loader forklifts, pallet jacks, and related material handling equipment in narrow aisles and cold storage facilities
Follows all standard operation procedures and GMP guidelines
Adheres to all safety training and instructions and has knowledge of materials and safety Participates in the effective training of other employees
Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Six months of previous work experience
Experience in a warehouse/stockroom environment utilizing material handling equipment and computerized inventory control system preferred
Previous experience in a GMP environment preferred
Trained in the safe usage of basic warehouse equipment such as but not limited to order pickers, preferred
Basic computer skills including Word, Excel and transaction data entry
Strong verbal and written communication written skills
Basic math skills Basic knowledge and understanding of cycle count procedures
Hands-on experience supplying materials to production work orders
Strong time management skills, ability to function efficiently with a focus on safe practices
Demonstrates commitment to complete work in accordance with Quality Management
System supporting ISO requirements FDA regulations, and those put forth by other regulatory agencies.
Understands and is aware of the quality consequences and device defects which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job.
