Key Responsibilities:

Job Overview

• Ride on the back of a waste collection truck to collect and dispose of solid waste from designated routes.


• Maintain knowledge of standard operating procedures for manual tasks and operation of collection vehicles in waste management operations.
  
  Direct drivers when pulling out into traffic, backing up, or guiding incoming vehicles to disposal facilities.
  


• Become proficient in troubleshooting issues with equipment and report needed repairs or maintenance. Assist drivers with various tasks during trash runs and be able to lift 100+ pounds.


• Develop expertise in working outdoors under varying weather conditions.
