Description

Ophthalmic Technician

In medical practice since 1919, Wolfe Eye Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic providing medical and surgical vision care services throughout Iowa.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time (M-F) Ophthalmic technician.
Prior experience in Ophthalmology is required.

The ophthalmic technicians work closely with ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive care for our patients.

Candidates should be ready to work both independently and as a member of a team, accept responsibility for assigned patient care and be able to perform responsibilities in a friendly and efficient manner.

Responsibilities include:

• Taking patient medical and ocular histories
• Performing patient workups
• Diagnostic testing

Experience is required. Ideal candidates would be skilled in retinoscopy, manual refraction, applanation A-scan, manual keratometry and tonometry as well as performing OCT and VF testing.

Daytime travel required. When traveling outside your base clinic, travel time and mileage will be reimbursed.
