Education: 4-year degree in food science, biological science or related subject, or equivalent experience and education
Type:
Full-time; Contract
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, Day Shift (weekends and overtime as needed)
Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking an Analyst to join a growing and dynamic team
Job Description:
Monitor and advance the safety and quality of programs
Perform pre-operational and process checks throughout the production and warehousing facilities
Monitor HACCP critical control points
Oversee processes to verify compliance with federal, state, and company standards and policies
Calibrate and maintain equipment
Schedule and take samples to submit to external laboratories for results (environmental swabs, nutritional analysis, etc.)
Assist in training employees on food safety, company processes, and FDA Good Manufacturing Practices
Maintain accurate records and inventory of supplies
Recommend, champion, and execute program enhancements
Position Requirements:
Possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
Basic computer operation skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and email functions
Knowledge of food safety principles and lab experience in a food processing facility
Ability to understand and operate basic product testing equipment
Basic math and research skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and attention to detail-skills
Excellent communication and creative problem-solving skills
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Knowledge of FDA GMPs and HACCP principles
