A division of Harris; Systems & Software is seeking a Intermediate Systems Administrator to join our team.

This is a hands-on role where you will learn and gain experience both by doing and via training/certification opportunities. Success is measured by the operational improvements you contribute to both your team and the organization.

This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US.

This role requires travel up to 5% within North America. A valid visa/passport is required.

What your impact will be:

Applying out of the box thinking to address customer technical needsCloud and on-premises system provisioning, network setup and maintenanceWorking with development team to resolve application related issuesMonitoring internal and customer system healthTier 2/3 technical support for internal and external customers (after hours support rotation required)Diagnosing and resolving operating system issues (performance problems, configuration issues, etc.)

Administration of Linux and Windows serversAdministration of Site-to-Site VPN tunnels, on-premise networking and cloud networking configurationCreating and maintaining technical documentationImplementing continuous improvement through automationStrategic improvement projectsEducating usersWhat we are looking for:

A bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information science, information systems, or related field OR equivalent work experience in a systems admin roleAt least 3 years of experience/familiarity with Linux (Oracle, RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server OS3 years' Experience with Cloud Hosting/Architecture (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, etc.)
