    Travel Nursing Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN

    Step into a high-impact surgical environment where precision, teamwork, and advanced cardiovascular expertise save lives every day. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced CVOR RN who thrives in complex cardiac procedures and excels in fast-paced, highly technical operating room settings.

    Position Details:

    Start Date: 3/16/2026
    Location: Utica, NY
    Schedule: 4x10 Days (variable start times between 0630–1700)
    Contract Length: 12.71 Weeks
    Shift Requirements: On-call required (minimum 7 days per 4-week schedule, including weeknights and at least one weekend); floating as needed

    Key Responsibilities:

    Assist in complex cardiovascular procedures including CABG, valve replacements, and vascular repairs
    Serve as scrub and/or circulating nurse during open-heart surgeries
    Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and specialized cardiac equipment
    Monitor patient hemodynamic status intraoperatively
    Anticipate surgeon needs and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
    Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members
    Ensure accurate documentation in EPIC and medication management via Omnicell

    Unit Details:

    Cardiovascular Operating Room
    Adult patient population
    1:1 patient ratio
    Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease (CAD), aortic stenosis (AS), and mitral regurgitation (MR)
    Floating may occur if census is low

    Requirements & Qualifications:

    Active New York RN license required
    BLS and ACLS certifications required
    Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required
    Graduate of an accredited nursing program
    Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and hemodynamic monitoring
    Comfortable with call rotation requirements
