    Job DescriptionDiagnostics Product Management Specialist IIIR The Diagnostics Product Management Specialist III will support the High-Value and Specialty Diagnostic products within the Fisher Healthcare Portfolio.

    The PM Specialist III will assist Product Managers in completing market assessments and opportunity analyses. They will help to develop marketing and commercial strategies and implement comprehensive plans for Diagnostics suppliers. The PM Specialist III will enable commercial sellers to accelerate the growth of the Healthcare Market Division (HMD).

    They will work closely with Thermo Fisher Scientific self-manufacturing divisions to align on business goals and assure that overall corporate growth objectives are met.

    Key success metrics of this position are revenue growth, portfolio profitability and new product and supplier introductions, requiring competency in managing supplier relationships and resolving supplier issues.

    This position is to be based in Houston/TX, or Pittsburgh/PA.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Own all facets of supplier activities to ensure compliance with company practices and business goalsSupport Product Managers in conducting key supplier Business Reviews and cultivate lasting business relationshipsImplement performance metrics to report back to suppliersNegotiate supplier rebate contracts and marketing agreements to grow collectible for HMD and sales for supplierDeploy direct strategies to identify and source new suppliers and productsAttend industry conferences to investigate new technologies coming to marketWork closely with Business Development and Legal to negotiate favorable terms with new suppliersDevelop and coordinate new product launches and marketing promotions with suppliers, including effective sales tools and collateralMaintain cross-functional relationships with internal departments including Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, Quality Assurance & Regulatory, Legal, Product Administration, and other Thermo Fisher Scientific divisionsWork alongside self-manufacturing (SMF) divisions and Research and Safety Division (RSD) colleagues to promote and sell Thermo Fisher Scientific solutionsCultivate relationships between HMD and SMF commercial sales teamsCooperate with Learning and Development on training opportunities such as New Hire Training, for strategic suppliers/products in the categoryAddress market and product challenges with support from suppliersRemove supplier barriers to close found opportunitiesAugment pricing and positioning strategies within the portfolio to ensure profitable growthObtain funding commitments from suppliers for participation in sales and marketing programs such as the National Sales Meeting, District Meetings and Strategic Supplier ProgramImplement marketing programs to drive profitable revenue growth, achieve AOP objectives and contribute to EBITAMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:Education:Bachelors degree with major/minor in sciences/business requiredMBA or graduate degree preferredExperience:3+ years experience with medical or scientific products, clinical diagnostics, product management, marketing, or salesFundamental understanding of group purchasing organizations and how they affect clinical decision-makingKnowledge of clinical laboratory products and applications, actual working laboratory experience or comprehension of customer requirements in laboratory products requiredSkills:Strong business and financial acuitySelf-starter with the ability to implement plans with minimal supervisionAnalytical skill/s, ability to analyze dataConfidence to negotiate and manage relationships with Director and Vice President level supplier partners independentlyAbility to offer informed recommendations based on both quantitative and qualitative data with insight on financial driversExcellent leadership, interpersonal, customer orientation, presentation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-task, to balance immediate priorities with deadlines on longer-term projects and critical initiativesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project)25-30% domestic travelOur Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
