    *Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer local candidates willing to work an in-office work schedule (3 days per week). We are also open to candidates living in nearby markets (i.e. Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Louisville), willing to visit HQs as needed.

    The Sr. Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies for the companys products or services. The role involves conducting market analysis, cost analysis and competitive research to recommend pricing tactics and strategies that maximize profitability and market share. This role provides thought leadership to sales, marketing, product strategy and finance teams to ensure pricing strategies align with overall business objectives.

    How Youll Make an Impact

    We need a quick learner who can become a subject matter expert in our retail environment. In the role, you would be responsible for:

    • Develop and recommend pricing strategies for a specific business unit. Includes making recommendation on pricing changes and providing guidance to analyst to execute changes.
    • Understand market relevant pricing through market research and competitive analysis. Understand market trends, demand and competitive positioning.
    • Create and communicate detailed reports on pricing performance, markets trends and competitive landscape to leadership adjusting strategies as necessary to meet financial goals. Will make formal presentations to senior leaders of business unit.
    • Lead project teams, take initiative, identify opportunities and provide direction to improve processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Implement changes to streamline process and reduce errors.
    • Managing various pricing programs, ensure alignment with policy and financial agreements. Work closely with sales and financial data to ensure rebates are calculated and accrued accurately. Identify opportunities to improve rebate process for efficiency and effectiveness. Implement changes to streamline process and reduce errors.

    What Youll Need

    • BS in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management or related field
    • 5 8 years of pricing, marketing, and/or finance experience, preferably in a distributed services organization.
    • Proficiency in data management tools, Excel, SQL, SAP and pricing software.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

    • Effective oral and written communication skills with an ability to efficiently communicate financial results to both financially and non-financially oriented persons.
    • Strong Problem-solving abilities aptitude for identifying issues in rebate processes and developing practical solutions.
    • Ability to be a change agent in instituting best practices to drive operational performance and effectiveness across the group.
    • Functional knowledge of financial reporting systems and methodologies for reporting using business intelligence tools are a plus.
    • Ability to formally present business strategies and action plans. Demonstrates logical analysis and problem-solving skills.
