    Role Overview:


    As an OB Hospitalist, you will manage approximately 200 deliveries annually, focusing on unassigned patients in a well-established coverage model.

    You will ensure seamless care for patients in a Level 2 NICU setting, collaborating closely with hospital-employed OBs, anesthesia teams, and internal medicine programs.

    While primary responsibilities will include inpatient obstetrics, you will also see patients in outpatient clinics for routine and new appointments.

    No plans to open an OBED or triage model are in place, maintaining a stable and predictable workflow. The position involves daily onsite anesthesia coverage with 24/7 call availability, fostering a dynamic and engaging work environment.


    Required Skills:
    MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
    Valid medical license in Kentucky or eligible for licensure
    Demonstrated experience in obstetric care, including high-volume obstetrics
    Ability to manage Level 2 NICU cases and operate effectively within a hospital team
    Strong communication and teamwork skills
    Ability to work flexible hours and be available for emergency calls


    Nice to Have Skills:
    Experience working with outpatient obstetric and gynecological clinics
    Familiarity with remote MFM consultation services through academic affiliations
    Prior experience in a hospitalist or locum position


    Preferred Education and Experience:
    Successful completion of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
    Minimum of 2 years of obstetric practice in a hospital setting
    Prior experience in a Level 2 NICU environment


    Other Requirements:
    Active Medical License in Kentucky or eligible for licensure
    Certification in BLS and ACLS
    Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and call shifts
