    We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for our Autonomous Vehicle efforts within the HD Mapping Automation team.

    Automation team combines state of the art Machine Learning and Computer Vision techniques to generate a variety of semantic features.

    We operate in a fast-paced and highly experimental fashion and seek the best engineers passionate about solving problems for self-driving cars with a strong background in software development.

    We build platforms, web services, and tools to ingest terabytes of sensor data through a complex pipeline with advanced deep learning models and math algorithms to produce the highest quality HD maps for self driving cars.

    Be Doing:
    Developing Deep Learning components for both training and inference stages

    Developing tools to generate and handle big training datasets for different Deep Learning models

    Developing computer vision algorithms for Deep Learning data preprocessing and post-processing

    Integrating Deep Learning algorithms into realistic large-scale map making pipelines

    Supporting mapping services operations

    Collaborating with other engineering teams within NVIDIA mapping

    What We Need To See:
    A deep understanding of and background in applying classical Computer Vision and modern Machine Learning techniques for real world applications

    Related math understanding, such as Geometry, Linear Algebra and Numerical Analysis

    Proficient in C++, Java and Python, with ability to write clean maintainable code.

    A self motivated, collaborative and problem solving mindset

    Strive to learn, solve, and own hard problems end to end.

    Good communication and analytical skills.

    Ability to work with multiple teams.

    Great team player but an independent self starter.

    MS/PhD Computer science or related areas (or equivalent experience)

    6+ years of industry experience

    Ways

    To Stand Out From The Crowd:
    Knowledge of the HD map industry.

    Prior experience in developing algorithms to automate landmark creation

    Ability to demonstrate automation improvements

    Attention to detail and to make every aspect of map making process more efficient

    Familiarity with at least one of the following Deep Learning libraries: TensorFlow, Caffe, Caffe2, MXNet, Torch

    The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
