    As a Lead Diesel Technician, you will perform hands-on supervision of shop staff consisting of trailer mechanics.


    Other responsibilities include:
    Instructs mechanics in proper diagnosis of failures and correct repair practices.
    Maintains a local terminal's domiciled fleet of trailers and dollies.

    Inputs data into a computer database for parts and work orders generated in shopPerforms inspections, service, and repairs on dry van trailersMoves, operates, lifts, stores, and uses specialized equipment, including personal and company hand and power tools, shop machines and measuring devices to perform inspections, adjustments, repair or maintenance workUses diagnostic tools and computer software to assist in troubleshooting and repair of heavy duty braking and electrical systems used on trailers and dolliesUtilizes service information from available sources, internet, shop manuals, and industry service bulletinsPreferred Qualifications3+ years maintenance experienceMaintenance lead person experienceTraining in diagnostic software and computerized tools for troubleshootingElectronic braking systemsExperience rebuilding, repairing & fabricating aluminum & steel components Pay Rate:
