    TITLE: Carpenter Journeyman

    REPORTS TO: Carpenter Foreman

    STATUS: Non-Exempt

    PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

    Responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship for installation of formwork, finish carpentry and drywall.

    COMPENSATION

    The base compensation range for this role is $53.70 per hour

    KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

    • Study blueprints, sketches or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard. Measures the dimensions of structure of fixture to be fabricated
    • B. Concrete and rough carpentry
    • Hand set walls
    • Footings
    • Set gang wall forms
    • Structural concrete decks
    • Slab on metal deck and grade
    • Concrete columns
    • Drywall
    • C. Finish carpentry, doors and hardware
    • Set door frames, hang doors, and install hardware
    • Finish carpentry: toilet accessories, hand rails, corner guards, toilet partitions, lockers, upper cabinets, lower cabinets, countertops, wall paneling systems, coffered ceiling systems and running trim
    • D. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
    • E. All other duties as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
    • Ability to picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams
    • Some ability to read plans
    • Ability to operate equipment such as: table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging and form systems
    • Strong teamwork orientation F. Positive attitude and professional customer service skills

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Completion of apprentice program
    • Union specific training

    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
