    JOB SUMMARY

    Oversee operations of Cage and supervise cashiers on an assigned shift. Responsible for all cash flow on shift.In Supervisor's absence, assume responsibility for the shift.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Ensure customer satisfaction and casino play through prompt, efficient, and friendly cash cage service.
    2. Assist in the supervision of staff including hiring, scheduling, leave approval, performance evaluations, counseling, time-clock training, operational orientation, and staff development.
    3. Flexible schedule - able to fill in with short notice when operational needs require, able to work various shifts as scheduled.
    4. Promote effective communication with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates through regular staff meetings, co-worker/management/supervisor team meetings, and other forms of communication.
    5. Proficient in doing fills and/or stackers for kiosks and ATMs.
    6. Implement all Cage/Vault procedures and internal controls as set forth by management.
    7. Perform Cage/Vault cashier functions as staff needs require.
    8. Responsible for all cash and documents turned into and leaving the Cage on shift.
    9. Utilize currency counters to perform routine functions.
    10. Comply with regulatory laws, Employee Handbook, department policy, and procedures, safety codes, Title 31, etc.
    11. Monitor slot paper rolls and replenish them according to procedural standards.
    12. Accept call-ins and perform schedule adjustments.
    13. Assist with slot accounting system ticket discrepancy.
    14. Monitor key control within the Cage/Vault.
    15. Keep the Supervisor and Cage Manager advised of any variances/inequities.
    16. Assist Cage Supervisor with cashiers' overages/shortages.
    17. Promote a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to Supervisor.
    18. Participate and attend designated meetings, training, activities, etc., as directed.
    19. Ensure the operation of equipment, tools, and materials are handled safely.
    20. Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
    21. Other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
    1. Oversee all cage/vault cashiers on shift.
    2. Responsible for the department in the cage supervisor's absence.
    SIGNATORY ABILITY:
    1. Approve customer's Comcheck cashing privileges.
    2. Fills and credits.
    3. Verification of cash to paperwork in Cage/Vault.
    4. Key to enter cage/vault, plus the Key Log.
    5. Review daily time and attendance reports and investigate any payroll inquiries and adjustments.
    ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:
    1. All cage areas and cage alarms.
    2. Cash machines.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. One (1) year of Gaming cashier/vault experience.
    2. Demonstrate strong employment history of work ethics and accountability.
    3. 10-key proficient by touch.
    4. High School Diploma or GED or Ten (10) years of experience.
    5. Stand and/or walk for long periods in a smoke-filled, noisy environment; perform a repetitive motion with wrists, hands, and fingers; bend, lift, and maneuver up to 25 lbs.
    6. Effective communication skills - verbally provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
    7. Exhibit a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
    8. Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
    9. Must be at least 21 years of age.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Three (3) months of supervisory experience.
