    Currently, Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Chemical Engineer to work remotely. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Chemical Engineer will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.

    The ideal candidate will review and prepare Request For Proposals (RFPs) for water treatment and wastewater recycling treatment systems.

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
    • Bachelor's in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering or related engineering degree or equivalent.
    • Five (5) or more years of relevant experience
    Job Description:
    • Provide oversight on water treatment strategies for semiconductor manufacturing, ensuring optimal performance, quality, and compliance of various water systems, such as ultra-pure water (UPW), and other industrial wastewater.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for development and innovation, leveraging expertise in water purification and industrial water treatment.
    • Review and prepare RFPs for water treatment and wastewater recycle treatment systems. Including:
    • Prepare appropriate responses to RFPs, including developing process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and GA drawings.
    • Guide draftsperson in preparing technical drawings.
    • Perform process calculations to properly size treatment processes and equipment.
    • Conduct comprehensive project mass balance to identify and implement value engineering and optimization opportunities
    • Compose technical clarifications and deviations to the RFP.
    • Solicit and develop inquiries for sub-vendor quotes for req'd components to assemble a complete system.
    • Develop a cost estimate and budget for the proposed system.
    • Compile sections of the proposal compromising specific technical data and descriptions, performance guarantees, warranty, and technical clarifications.
    • Assist the sales manager in responding to customers' technical queries.
    • Prepare a TOP for each successful proposal.
    • Develop and update process calculations spreadsheets and technical documentation required in proposal preparation.
    • Provide Process support during system commissioning/start-up to the commissioning engineer and troubleshoot related issues.
    Skill Requirements:
    • Must know through coursework or experience: water chemistry; water treatment equipment process design/sizing calculations; proposal/bid preparation; metallic and non-metallic construction materials utilized in water treatment processes; industry-standard software for membrane and ion exchange resin-based equipment design; and water treatment and wastewater recycle treatment system processes (including physical/chemical conditioning processes, clarification process, ultrafiltration (UF), ion-exchange processes, and reverse osmosis (RO)).
    • Review and prepare RFPs for water treatment and wastewater recycle treatment systems using knowledge of water chemistry and water treatment process and equipment.
    • Basic P&ID development and BIM modeling experience
