We launched Product Ads performance advertising marketplace late in 2018. Our group is responsible for advertising brands and products inside our e-commerce website.

This role is for an engineering director, who will be leading the ranking team and reports to the head of ads quality.

As our Engineering Director for our Ads Ranking team for Coupang Media Group, you will be responsible for driving the roadmap and execution of one of our core ranking teams in ads ecosystem.

Define the long-term strategy and vision of the ads ranking models and oversee the design in conjunction with the engineering team
~ Recruit and coach individual contributors and managers across the ads org and develop that talent to create a world class engineering team
~ Manage and execute against project plans and deliver commitments
~ Work closely with the senior management team to ensure that development plans, resources, and strategies are coordinated across all departments in a cohesive and collaborative fashion
~ Lead your team to develop state-of-the-art (SOTA) Machine Learning models and features, applying rigorous offline and online testing methodology
~ Architect our machine learning platform at at internet scale
~3+ years management experience
~ Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related science majors, Ph.
Track record of diving into data to discover hidden patterns and solving problems with data science
~ Hands on experience either directly training and applying Generative AI models / LLMs or working closely with your engineering team to do so
