Job Location: Wiggins, CO
Job Summary:
Join our team at Wiggins Electric, Inc. as a Pivot Irrigation Technician and become part of a dynamic crew dedicated to efficiently managing and maintaining irrigation systems. As an irrigation member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning of pivot irrigation systems, contributing to increased agricultural productivity and sustainability. This role offers skill development and the satisfaction of contributing to the success of local farming operations.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience, with opportunities for overtime pay. Benefits package including vision, dental, and life insurance, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections of pivot irrigation systems to identify and address any issues or malfunctions.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, filter replacement, and alignment adjustments to ensure optimal system performance.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems, and implement appropriate repairs.
Assist in the installation of new pivot irrigation systems, including assembly, wiring, and testing.
Collaborate with other team members to coordinate scheduling and prioritize tasks effectively.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory levels.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
Prior experience in pivot irrigation system maintenance, repair, or installation.
Proficiency in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and occasionally on weekends or evenings.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
