Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Supervisor to join our team in ensuring the highest standards of quality in automotive manufacturing.
As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and implementing quality control processes to meet automotive industry requirements and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Management:
Supervise and lead the quality control team in monitoring and evaluating manufacturing processes and products to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality objectives.
Process Improvement:
Continuously identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Defect Analysis:
Investigate and analyze product defects or non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate root causes and reduce defects in production.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of quality control inspections, test results, and non-conformities. Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and quality manuals.
Supplier Quality:
Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials and components. Conduct supplier audits and assessments as needed.
Team Training:
Provide training and guidance to quality control inspectors and technicians. Ensure team members are well-versed in quality control procedures and standards.
Customer Interface:
Serve as a point of contact for customer quality concerns and inquiries. Collaborate with customers to resolve quality-related issues and communicate corrective actions.
Root Cause Analysis:
Utilize problem-solving tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma or 8D, to identify root causes of quality issues and implement sustainable solutions.
Audits and Compliance:
Lead and participate in internal and external quality audits. Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949 or relevant automotive quality standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
X+ years of experience in quality control/assurance in the automotive industry, with X+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Leadership and team management experience.
Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer) is preferred.
