- Join our nationally recognized team of pediatric specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical Pediatric Anesthesiology (Assistant Professor) at our new Austin, Texas location.
- Provide surgical anesthesia for all types of routine pediatric surgery including outpatient ear, nose and throat procedures and general surgery cases.
- Assist in the opening and growth of the hospital consisting of 5 OR s and 1 hybrid OR.
- Consultation with surgeons and pediatricians.
- Pre-admission anesthetic evaluation and testing, including preoperative instructions and tours for children and their families.
- Anesthesia management for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including cardiac catheterization and minor hematology/oncology procedures.
- The Anesthesiologist may provide anesthesia services for OB Anesthesiology.Qualifications:
- Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
- An academic record consistent with appointment as an assistant level or associate professor is desired given TCH s affiliation with Baylor. However, this is NOT required for this position.
- The ideal candidate will have a pioneer-like spirit that is flexible and comfortable with the challenges of starting and ramping up a new facility.
- Applicants must have a Medical School Degree, Residency in Anesthesiology, and a Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
- The successful candidate will be board certified/eligible in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology.
- Additional subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesia is required.
- The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical license.
