The Challenge:

Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group's (MCTOG's) role is to optimize the ground combat element's (GCE's) preparation for, and performance in, the operational environment from its vantage point between the Fleet Marine Forces (FMF) and supporting establishment. What if you could use knowledge and experience of military history and operations in regard to decision forcing cases to assist those efforts?

As a Decision Forcing Case Subject Matter Expert on our team, you will produce and facilitate decision-force cases, tactical decision games, Krieg spiel exercises and commercial board wargames. Additionally, you will instruct and provide instructor development on producing and facilitating decision force cases.

Must Have:

• SECRET security clearance or higher
• MA/MS in one or more of the following fields: Military History, Modern History, Military Science, Military Studies, Strategic Intelligence, National Security, English
• Adult Learning certification or equivalent
• Minimum of five years military service in any branch
• Experience producing and facilitating decision-forcing cases, tactical decision games, Krieg spiel exercises, commercial board wargames
• Demonstrated understanding of military history
• Published in peer-reviewed journals
• Demonstrated talent for public speaking and instructing
• Must be trained on Marine Corps Instructional Systems Design (MCISD)/Systems Approach to Training and Education (SATE) and Risk Management (RM)

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $125,000 annually.

The listed salary range expresses what JCTM reasonably expects to pay an employee for this position. The specific salary the employee receives will be based off experience, education, location, clearance level (if applicable), and the specific government contract with which this position aligns (if applicable).

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; SECRET clearance is required.
