    Principal Responsibilities:
    The JCA is currently hiring a qualified candidate for a full-time Grants Manager and Bookkeeper position.

    As part of our finance and operations team, this person will play an important role in ensuring compliance with grant requirements, providing timely and accurate financial management, and supporting the JCA's financial health.

    Job ResponsibilitiesFinancial Record Keeping:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, and bank reconciliationsClassify and code financial transactions appropriately to ensure accurate tracking of income and expensesAccounts Payable and Receivable:Process invoices and payments accurately and in a timely mannerMonitor and follow up on accounts receivable

    Financial Communication:
    Work collaboratively with other team members to provide financial information and support decision-makingEnsure confidentiality and integrity of highly sensitive dataHelp the team move toward the goal of maximizing efficiency

    Grants Management:
    Pre-Award:Work closely with Program Directors to ensure budget proposals are compliant and competitive, responsive to solicitation requirements, and submitted in alignment with internal and external deadlines and policiesPost
    • Award: Process reimbursement requests and paymentsMaintain compliance with financial reportingrequirements throughout the yearMaintain electronic databases (project budgets;project expenses) as they pertain to financial and award managementOversee non financial post award activities,including submission of programmatic reports and management of requestsfor no cost extensions and other changes requiring sponsor approvalSalary and Benefits:Salary: $50,000 $60,000.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    At least 2years of work experience in finance, accounting, business operations, or grant/contractfinancial administration, preferably in a non-profit environment.
    Proficiencywith Quickbooks and Microsoft suite, including Excel and WordAbility tomanage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks simultaneouslyStrongattention to detail and a high level of accuracy indata entry and record-keeping Strong ethics and comfort in handling confidential financial informationSolid analytical mind with an eye towards proactive problem-solvingStrong financial and analytic skills with understanding of financial processes and controlsDemonstratedexperience in the review, submission, and processing of federal grantand/or contract proposals, subaward and subrecipient terms and conditionsFamiliaritywith federal grants submission and reporting processesSalary:$50,000-$60,000
