The New England Center for Children (NECC), is looking for individuals who are passionate about helping our students lead more independent lives. NECC is a global leader in autism education and research. We provide a comprehensive structure to help children and young adults with autism through evidence-based services in home-based, day, and residential programs, in unison with ongoing research on educational best practices.

    Adult Services Counselors work in our residential adult services program and provide direct care support to our adult consumers. Counselors are trained to use ABA therapy to implement and enhance their clinical, educational, and vocational skills and will assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, cooking, cleaning, toileting, and shopping. They are also trained in medication administration (MAP), student/van transportation, and verbal and physical de-escalation of challenging behaviors (CALM training), allowing our students to effectively communicate their needs, improve their problem-solving skills, and maintain their well-being.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or 1 year of relevant experience
    • Willingness to work with students who engage in challenging behaviors
    • Valid Driver's License
    • CPR training completion through NECC within 6 months of employment
    • Successful completion of NECC training - Physical and Verbal De-escalation training (CALM) and Medication Administration training (ability to get MAP Certified)
