    Job Description

    In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team.


    In this role, you will act as the owner and developer of product test plans for educational toys and/or furniture.

    The position requires reviewing product expectations and identifying appropriate safety, reliability and durability testing.

    In addition, the role requires coaching and training our RD&D team on appropriate testing standards to enable alignment of product design and performance requirements.

    Applicants should possess strong conceptional, analytical and problem-solving skills.

    The ideal candidate also has excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate testing requirements and results to a broad and diverse audience.


    A day on the job looks like this:
    Present product test plans and results to RD&D and Supply Chain teams to facilitate informed product decisions
    Analyze test results to summarize product performance against testing requirements
    Create and maintain a library of test methods/protocols to ensure consistency and repeatability of all in-house testing and third-party lab testing
    Identify industry standards for raw material and finished product testing
    Collaborate with In-House Lab Manager to identify required testing capabilities
    Participate in failure analysis and facilitate baseline testing for product improvement projects
    Support root-cause analysis for customer service inquiries
    Collaborate with Product Integrity and Compliance teams
    Qualifications

    Got the skills and experience? Here's what we're looking for:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Quality Management Experience
    3+ years of product engineering experience
    3+ years of implementing quality engineering processes
    Proven work experience in quality, engineering and testing standards
    Understanding of raw material processing and handling in global manufacturing environments
    Understanding of quality systems and processes
    Understanding of manufacturing processes
    Deep knowledge of ASTM, ANSI/BIFMA and other testing standards; can readily identify appropriate test standards for each application
    Experience working with third-party testing labs
    Regulatory requirement expert within furniture
    Must be comfortable with systems and data analysis
    Experience in MS Office, with an emphasis on building and presenting reports
    Experience in communication through remote mediums, such as video conferences, emails and text communication

    Salary:
    $80,000-$100,000with an annual bonus of up to 10%
