    Position Summary:

    The Research Associate will be responsible for developing LNP formulations and processes to support company's in vitro and in vivo pre-clinical studies. We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual who is comfortable multitasking and working independently on various aspects of the platform. This individual will join a dynamic, rapidly growing, and highly collaborative team.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Strengthen Tessera's gene editing delivery platforms by formulating and developing novel LNPs
    • Routinely formulate nucleic acid payloads to support company's in vitro and pre-clinical studies
    • Utilize physicochemical testing methods to screen and characterize novel LNP formulations
    • Maintain thorough and detailed electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and documentation records
    • Work both independently and as part of a team to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Assist in maintaining general laboratory functionality, including lab equipment maintenance and the ordering, and receiving of lab supplies
    • Adhere to all laboratory safety requirements and procedures
    Basic Qualifications:
    • BS with up to 4 years of experience, or MS and up to 2 years of experience. Degrees in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, or closely related field is required.
    • Prior experience in LNP delivery or formulations
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Prior experience with scientific and experimental documentation
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Proven ability to work with a high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills that enable a high level of productivity and timely completion of assignments
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills for effectively interfacing with all members of the company
    • Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment
    • Ability to troubleshoot process equipment and analytical instrumentation
    • Deliver effectively on time sensitive assignments, and document/communicate scientific data
    • Perform experiments that involve preparation and physiochemical characterization of nanoparticles
    • Supply LNP test articles for biological studies
    • Possess a strong work ethic and good documentation practices, including electronic laboratory notebook and inventory maintenance
    • Perform duties according to applicable safety procedures
    • Knowledge of nucleic acid chemistry and biology
