    Job DescriptionPosition PurposeThe Manager Finance, Supply Chain is a trusted business advisor who provides leadership to a team of analysts who works alongside the Plant Operations and Logistic functions, supporting and advising on strategic and operational decision making, to drive better decision making and business performance.

    • US & Canada1 Direct reportMajor/Key AccountabilitiesSupports the long term planning cycle and strategy setting within operations to deliver robust strategic plans and initiativesProvides inputs and advises on key business assumptions, trade offs, risks and opportunities, in relation to the delivery of BU strategic plan, budgets and forecastProvides the business with analytics and insights to support strategic and operational decision making, and in doing so, influences improved business performance and capital allocation decisionsProvides deep functional analytical insight through modelling detailed inputs on budgets and forecastsActs as the finance business partner of the operations and logistics short term planning cycles, developing guidance to articulate the business requirements and expected growth targets relating to long term planning, budgeting and forecasting processes to deliver effective performance targetsProactively identifies and supports strategic business initiatives and actions to drive operations performance to achieve forecast/targetsProvides operations specific business insights and commentary on the financial results and performance including interpreting, explaining with a view to driving improved performanceProvides ad hoc analysis and scenarios to provide insights on specific business issuesIdentifies and assesses potential risks in business cases and recommending actions to manage/mitigate risks.
    Drive continuous process improvements in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities through automation, system enhancements, data quality, and quality improvement to enable Plant Operations to track/review relevant KPI'sMeasuresThe quality and effectiveness of strategic decision support provided to the business within the market(s) under responsibility will be measured by the year on year and cumulative revenue growth for the businessThe quality and effectiveness of the capital allocation decision support will be measured by the growth or change in ROCI performanceThe financial impact of strategic business initiatives identified to drive performance and achieve forecast/ targets as measured by their outcomeThe level of forecast and budget accuracy and/or the achievement of the BU budget and forecast within the market under responsibility as measured by % varianceThe effectiveness of operational and financial risk management initiativesThe quality of insight and commentary on the financial results and performance within market(s) under responsibilityAuthority/Decision MakingAs applicable and defined by the Brambles, Pallets and Regional LOA matrixChallengesAbility to work across different time zones and cultures both within Finance and across the BusinessNavigating the complexity of working in a matrix structureKey contacts
