    Description

    is working with an established electronics company seeking an experienced Litigation Counsel. This is a full time (40 hours/week) hybrid position in Newark, NJ. The initial duration of the contract would be 6 months, with potential to extend or convert.

    Work to be done:

    • Minimum 8 years' experience at a law firm and / or corporate legal department with a focus on product safety or product liability, product warranty, regulatory compliance and general commercial litigation.
    • Substantive knowledge of regulatory compliance and reporting to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
    • Experience advising clients in all stages of civil litigation including strategy for pre-litigation dispute resolution and risk mitigation, discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration and knowledge of insurance related issues.
    • Experience with Environmental Product Regulation, including compliance with EPA regulations, or knowledge of Antitrust Law, a plus.

    Requirements:

    • Law degree from accredited law school required. Admission to a state bar, NJ or NY preferred or eligibility to obtain in-house counsel license in NJ.

    Hourly Rate: $95 - $115 / hour ($190,000 - $230,000 annualized)
