    Description

    Responsibilities: The Math Interventionist is responsible for supporting student achievement in the area of Mathematics, providing Tier II and III instruction in push in or pull out settings. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.

    • Meet with students 1:1 or in small groups for math remediation or enrichment for students in grades 2-4 using systematic and research based interventions
    • Coordinate benchmark system and data collection
    • Weekly progress monitoring for tier III students
    • Identify and support implementation of research based math interventions for K-4
    • Drive curriculum mapping in the area of mathematics PK- 4/8
    • Co-teach math classes in grades 2-3
    • Provide teachers with professional development; in-class consultation, assistance, feedback, and modeling through a structured and well-scheduled program in the classrooms K-4
    • Work with teachers to use assessments, student work, and other data to analyze current practice and identify areas for improving and alignment curriculum and instruction across and within grade levels.
    • Engage in planning and collaboration with grade level teachers
    • Communication with families
    • Engage in grading and completion of report cards and comments
    • Attend weekly grade level meetings Bachelor's degree, classroom experience
