How you will make an impact

An Accounts Payable Specialist ensures the financial stability of a company by managing and processing all outgoing payments efficiently and accurately. You will maintain strong vendor relationships by ensuring timely payments, which helps in negotiating favorable terms and discounts. By meticulously tracking expenses and verifying invoices, you prevent errors and fraud, safeguarding the companys financial integrity. Your role in maintaining accurate financial records supports compliance with regulatory requirements and aids in financial reporting. Ultimately, your contributions enhance cash flow management and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.

• Perform vouchering of invoices as they are either approved or a receipt is made. By working with JD Edwards each invoice will need to be reviewed and either require approval or a receipt to be made. Invoices should be vouchered in a timely manner to ensure no payments go past due.
• Working with several departments from across the organization to ensure each invoice requiring approval is completed in a timely manner; working within the accounting/finance department to answer questions around invoices that have been or need to be vouchered.
• Assisting with the weekly pay run to ensure payment accuracy; keeping a well-organized file system for reviewing payments that have been made or need to be made.
• On-boarding new vendors/updating supplier information; reviewing new customer on-boarding and updating supplier information documents for accuracy and completeness through verbal confirmation.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role

Required:

• High school diploma or GED or commensurate experience.
• 3 years experience in accounts payable or office administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Microsoft Office and Excel experience
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines, communication skills, and experience working in a team

Preferred:

• Associates degree in business, accounting, finance, or management
• 5 years experience in accounts payable or office administration in a manufacturing environment
• Accounts payable in an ERP environment (e.g., JDE)
• Working within teams and projects
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines
• Communication skills written & verbal

The salary range for this role is $ hourly. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
