    Summary



    About the Position: Join us at the United States Southern Command. We provide direct support to a four-star Unified Combatant Commander, but are compact enough that our staff also works with senior leadership representatives of our inter-service, inter-agency and (public and private) international partner organizations. Our contribution to furthering our country's relationships with Caribbean, South and Central American nations and peoples are substantial.



    Duties

    • Serve as a senior program analyst providing resource management support in programming to a unified command for all Army, Air Force, Navy, and Defense Agency resource initiatives.
    • Responsible for coordinating USSOUTHCOM's resource requirements through the Services' Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Budget Estimate Submissions (BES), and the President's Budget.
    • Prepare justification summary for congressional testimony on program requirements and description.
    • Determine if programs meet criteria of strategic goals to be incorporated into the Integrated Priority List and the Program Budget Review (PBR).
    • Assess command resource actions for project feasibility, planning, programming thoroughness, and milestones.
    • Review unified staff/service components proposed requirements for cost effectiveness and conformance to policy and priorities.
    • Lead on developing and coordinating the Integrated Priority List (IPL) and the Program Budget Review (RPB) process across directorates.
    • Develop Program Objective Memorandum (POM) Annes input to the service components and act as the primary point of contact for resource and programming issues.
    • Serve as the information systems administrator for the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBE) and its sup-systems.
