    Job Summary:

    The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) is focused on providing dedicated analytical and financial support for Verdant Technologies. The position will support a variety of initiatives using multiple tools including spreadsheets, data warehousing applications, and financial reporting systems. The SFA will serve as a financial advisor/liaison to operational and corporate functions. The SFA will be tasked with simple to moderately complex analysis assignments that range from periodic reporting and analysis, to forecasting and budgeting. Work is deadline specific and is occasionally high-pressure.

    In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will develop a thorough understanding of the business, the key performance indicators of success, and current business trends. In addition, a successful candidate in this role will become an expert in knowledge of where and how to acquire the right set of data, how to assimilate that data into meaningful metrics, and how to use the metrics to convey financial issues. This is a hybrid/in-person role at our Centennial, Colorado headquarters.

    Essential Functions:

    • Perform monthly analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning activities
    • Collaborate with business partners to analyze current and historical business trends and provide financial insight for decision-making
    • Assist in development of the periodic financial packages for and presentations to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors
    • Perform and support ad hoc analysis, including project business cases/IRR/NPV analysis
    • Support the implementation of the companys new ERP system
    • Participate on and/or lead cross functional teams
    • Establish processes and initiate improvements to ensure data quality and reporting standards for both financial and non-financial information

    Skills/Knowledge Required:

    • Strong analytical and modeling skills, with a strong attention to detail and follow up
    • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, meet, or exceed deadlines and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner and to interface effectively with all levels of the company
    • Ability to effectively communicate financial results and the impact of proposed business decisions
    • Ability to identify problems and areas of improvement and suggest possible causes and solutions
    • Strong organization and project management skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; advanced knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or Economics
    • 3 - 8 years of relevant and progressive experience in financial roles
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; advanced knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools
    • MBA and/or CPA, a plus
    • Experience with JD Edwards, a plus
