    Job Description

    Electrical Design:
    Perform electrical design and engineering for a variety of projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. This includes lighting, power distribution, and low-voltage systems.

    Project Management:
    Manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

    Design and Documentation:
    Prepare detailed electrical design plans, calculations, specifications, and construction drawings. Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.

    Technical Analysis:
    Conduct technical analysis, load calculations, and electrical system studies to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

    Coordination:

    Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, structural engineers, and mechanical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within projects.


    Quality Control:

    Review and approve electrical design work performed by junior engineers and drafters to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality standards.


    Site Inspections:

    Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that electrical installations meet design specifications and resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction.


    Client Interaction:
    Maintain regular communication with clients to address their concerns, provide project updates, and ensure client satisfaction.

    Code Compliance:
    Stay current with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards to ensure designs meet all necessary requirements.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.


    Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable time frame.

    4-6 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, particularly in building design and construction.

    Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and electrical system analysis tools.

    Thorough knowledge of local building codes, electrical codes, and regulations in California.

    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions and collaboration within project teams.

    Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical design practices is a plus.
