- The Trailer Switcher moves trailers in and out of dock as directed by management within the confines of the yard
- Safety is key at Capstone so we perform inspections of the vehicle prior to and after operation
- We chock trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pull them from doors
- You will support and participate in Safety Team meetings to ensure open communication
- Complete daily logs to ensure proper reporting and measurement of productivity
- Communicate with other shifts to provide a seamless transition and maintain efficiency
- Read work orders determine work assignments to identify appropriate equipment needs.
- Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
- 18 years of age or older
- A valid driver's license (CDL not required)
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of up to 25-75lbs. materials handled vary
- High-energy individual with a strong work ethic
- Ensure the yard is clean and organized
- Trailers are safely chocked, transported and remain damage free
- Self-motivation with ability to work with limited supervision
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate changing operational needs
- Sit or stand for periods (concrete flooring and changing temperatures)
