Position Overview:

Clinical Solutions is a mail order pharmacy serving the corrections industry. Our headquarters facility located in Franklin, Tennessee, is a 42,000 square foot high volume pharmacy, employing over 200 team members. Currently, the company has three satellite pharmacies: Nashville, TN, Wichita, KS, and Boise, ID.

The Prepack Production Manager oversees daily operations of the medication blister card packaging department, leading the team responsible for producing single dose cards using automated pharmacy packaging systems such as MTS 350, MTS 400, MTS 500, Pharmaworks-TF2, and related sealing/printing technologies.

This leader ensures safe, accurate, and timely medication packaging while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality expectations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production management or fulfillment operations. Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
• Experience with automated medication packaging systems is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience overseeing technicians or production teams.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with automated machinery.
• Excellent troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to accuracy and patient safety.

Essential Duties:

• Supervise, train, and mentor Prepack Technicians responsible for running all equipment within the department.
• Create daily/weekly staffing schedules based on production volume and workflow demand.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching to support productivity and quality goals.
• Manage end to end blister card production including but not limited to batch preparation, medication staging, card filling, sealing, labeling, and verification workflows.
• Ensure all equipment is operated safely and according to manufacturer's standards.
• Monitor production KPIs such as throughput, error rates, and downtime.
• Coordinate routine cleaning, calibration, and preventative maintenance of all machinery.
• Work with Automation team to troubleshoot mechanical, technical, or workflow issues to minimize downtime.
• Implement process improvements that leverage automation capabilities to reduce manual work and increase accuracy.
• Ensure strict adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Maintain documentation for batch production and quality checks.
• Partner with pharmacists and QA team to ensure blister cards meet accuracy and quality standards.
• Manage inventory levels of medication, labels, blister card stock, foil, plastic, and other machine supplies. Monitor material waste to ensure effective use of resources.
• Collaborate with inventory team to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor medication usage to predict packaging needs and adjust scheduling accordingly.
• Communicate production needs or operational issues to leadership in a timely manner.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the manager to include but not limited to helping staff the pharmacy in times of need and assisting with processing returns.
